By Gucci is combining 18k yellow gold and diamonds in the Gucci Flora fine jewelry collection. Adding
extra radiance and energy to this timeless line, the latest additions include earrings, rings, a bracelet,
and a necklace.
Showing a high level of craftsmanship, the new pieces feature diamond-encrusted flowers and the
GG logo. In one pair of asymmetric earrings, the GG logo is also embellished with diamonds. Another
pair of earrings showcases a glamorous silhouette with a cascading floral element. An open-band
ring offers a modern, fashionable look, while another ring makes a bold statement with a radiant
flower motif.
The bracelet and necklace with discreet flower-shaped centerpieces, are more delicate and can
be combined with other styles to create a layered look.
In addition to the yellow gold designs, two intricate 18k white gold rings are joining the collection.
These rings, which are set with diamonds are also available in yellow gold.

We get why people would be outraged from a certain view, but we also think at least some of these designers are in on the joke. Maybe the only question is what exactly the punchline is. Then again, when you think about it the entire world of high fashion is taking something mundane (clothing; we all have to wear it), and turning it into coveted and cutting-edge luxury items.
